Superb A Level results in challenging times – 2021
Ffynone students have excelled once again after another very challenging year. Their determination, resilience, and sheer hard work was rewarded with superb results. Many congratulations to everyone, and grateful thanks to all the teachers and staff who made it possible. Live teaching was maintained throughout the academic year and students benefited from uninterrupted lessons despite the Covid pandemic.

The system used to assess students was different to last year and from previous formal exams. This year’s approach was based on teachers’ assessments with a holistic judgement on the appropriate grades for students. Judgements were then subjected to quality assurance processes.
With a 100% pass rate and three-quarters of results being graded at A*-A there were smiles all around. Many congratulations to all our students who now progress to their chosen places at Universities across the UK. A special ‘well done’ to Ujair Abdullah, Georgia Davies, Harry Jonathan, Sara Rafique, Will Smart, Helen Throp, and Laily Tuhill who achieved a clean sweep with all A* grades.
