Community & Charity

Ffynone House students enthusiastically embrace a continuous programme of charitable and community based activities, and we are immensely proud of all they achieve.

Race for Life
Ffynone House students and staff raised £2,406 with a 5K Race for Life along Swansea seafront.

Students select a named charity each year as a particular focus, but many other charitable concerns are also supported. A variety of social, sporting and often challenging events are held to generate funding, resources and support.

Ffynone House School is committed to its role in the local community, and pupils are activity encouraged to participate in giving time to help others, whether through volunteering and the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, or being involved organised activities such as litter picking in the local parks.

Pupils contribute well to the strong sense of community within the school and participate enthusiastically in activities in the wider community outside the school.” Estyn Inspectors

FHS Race for LifeRace for Life 2016. Every member of our Ffynone family participated in our annual Race for Life on Friday 21st October. Students ran for relatives and friends affected by cancer, with many noting the names of their loved ones on their race cards which they wore on their backs. It was humbling to see so many young people who have been touched by this disease harnessing their memories and pushing themselves to do their best in the race.
