In addition to our diverse curriculum, we believe there is much to learn beyond the classroom. Ffynone House is host to a vibrant community, and pupils take advantage of a wide and varied range of extra-curricular activities throughout the school year.
Charitable fundraising is a key activity for all pupils, including many events organised by students. Recent years have seen thousands of pounds raised for important causes, including the Cyrenians, Oxfam, Cancer Research, Haiti appeal, Mr X Appeal and many others.
With our long-standing reputation for the performing arts, music and whole school productions are central to the school calendar. Ffynone House pupils are also well known for being logical and compelling speakers, and we put great store in developing confidence and public speaking skills from an early age. Our debating teams have an unrivalled reputation in local and national competitions.
This confidence is also evident in student participation in other external competitions. Ffynone House teams successfully take part in a diverse range of events, including Young Enterprise and Celtic Enterprise, Business Dragons, Chemical Olympiad and many Art and English competitions.
“All pupils feel valued as members of the school community and there is a strong sense of mutual respect between pupils and staff” Estyn Inspectors
