Ffynone House School raised a fantastic £2,406, with a special Race For Life fun run along Swansea seafront. Pupils and staff took part in the 5km event in the memory of former deputy head teacher Simon Phillips who sadly died of cancer last year.
“I think the whole school deserve congratulations for all their efforts in taking part in the race as well as raising valuable funds for cancer,” said Headteacher Michael Boulding, who himself ran the 5km course.
“It was very poignant and fitting that we raised money for Race for Life in memory of Mr Phillips” added Mr Boulding. “It was a great way to raise funds for such a good cause and we are looking to make this an annual event.”
