Ffynone House School students shine in London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art exams
We were delighted to receive excellent feedback from our LAMDA examiner at our last session of exams. She was impressed by the standard of the work and complimented all the learners (from Year 7 to 13) on their lively and confident approach, their obvious enjoyment of the work, their individuality and their politeness and charm. This was reflected in the excellent results in which 90% were awarded a Distinction (the top level of achievement) and the others an excellent Merit. Particular congratulations must go to the Gold Medallists in Public Speaking who all achieved a Distinction and so gained 30 UCAS points each, towards university entrance. We are so proud of them all.

Rising popularity
Lamda at Ffynone is always a popular choice, but last term, we had a record number of students taking Lamda exams over two full days.
It was good to welcome a new influx of talented performers from Year 7 onto the Lamda team. When we shared work in assembly, they impressed, especially delivering Shakespeare extracts. Our senior pupils are skilled public speakers whose topics range from political to environmental and cultural issues.
The results are evidence of this. The examiner said she enjoyed her visit to Ffynone and appreciated all the work she saw.
Everyone enjoyed the experience and now we are busily preparing for the next examinations in March.
It is a joy to teach these talented and enthusiastic students.
