Welcome to Ffynone House School, Swansea’s only independent coeducational secondary school. This is an exciting time to be here as we embark on our fifth decade of providing a consistently outstanding education.
Ffynone House has a reputation for inspired teaching and family values. Pupils benefit from small class sizes and individual attention. As an independent school, we can offer a curriculum that is tailored to the needs and aspirations of our pupils, with an extensive range of subjects that do not include the Welsh Baccalaureate. Our friendly environment and supportive ethos create a positive attitude, mutual respect, and a desire to succeed. Ffynone House public examination results speak for themselves with 100% pass rates and exceptionally high grades year on year.
In addition to academic excellence, I firmly believe there is much to learn and enjoy beyond the classroom. We offer a range of creative, cultural, sporting, and adventurous activities through which pupils learn to work cooperatively and develop leadership. Confidence building performance skills are encouraged with extensive opportunities in drama, music, debating, public speaking, and LAMDA examinations.
Ffynone House School provides an education for life in an atmosphere where pupils from a variety of backgrounds feel secure and equally valued. In addition to promoting a strong work ethic, we strive to foster a sense of social responsibility, personal development, and independent thinking.
Sixth Form students move on from us to the most competitive universities and a wide range of careers, including in Medicine, Engineering, Law, Finance, and the creative sector. We enjoy welcoming our Alumni back to visit the school to share their experience with the next generations.
I am immensely proud of our pupils as confident ambassadors and I would welcome an opportunity to introduce you to the school at one of our open events. I encourage you to visit us to find out more, or to arrange a taster day to understand what makes Ffynone House unique.
