Ffynone House School News

Three pupils from Ffynone House School in Uplands have been named in the Under 16’s squad to face Scotland in a series of tests over the Easter Holidays. Myles Dyer (Centre Back) and Myles Gamage (Goalie) are both from Year 10 and Ben Francis (Forward) who is in Year 9 were all named in the 18 strong squad to face Scotland in Wrexham this Easter.

Ben has also been picked by the UK Lion’s U14 Squad and will be playing at the end of this season against a selection of UK Regional sides.

Hockey is one of the key sports on offer at Ffynone House School and is taught throughout the Spring Term and is also available as an extra-curricular afterschool activity.

Head of Ffynone House School Mrs Walker commented, “We are delighted for the all three pupils. This is the first time we have had three players capped at the same time for Hockey and this achievement reflects the commitment the boys have put into the sport both in school and in their Hockey Club”.
