Semi-Finals for Chemical Olympiad Team
A team of pupils from Ffynone House School in Uplands is through to the semi-finals of the South West Wales Region Chemical Olympiad for the third year in a row. Ffynone House School has won the competition twice in 2009 and 2010. The semi-finals and finals will be held in the Taliesin Arts Theatre in Swansea University on the 29th November.
The pupils, who are a completely new team and all from different year groups, Freya Koutsoubelis (Year 11), Tom Warren (Year 10), Kieran Selby (Year 9) and Adam Frangakis-Williams (Year 8) had to answer questions on a range of chemical concepts testing their knowledge and understanding of chemistry.
We wish them luck in the semi-finals.
