Pupils from Ffynone House School in Uplands launched their new art exhibition with an invitational preview event in the White Room Gallery in Swansea Grand Theatre yesterday (18th January 2010). The exhibits covered themes as diverse as love, abortion, binge-drinking, global warming and body image and is presented in a range of media including oils, textiles, charcoal and stained glass. Comments left in the visitor book were highly complimentary of the diverse range and high standards of work on display.
The exhibition is open to the public and runs from today until 30th January.
Head of Ffynone House School, Nicola Walker commented, “We have several classes of very talented pupils exhibiting their work at the Grand this year – it’s a delight to be able to see the creativity on display but also to be able to give the pupils the chance to display their work to friends, family and the general public in such a distinguished public building”.
