Learning Support

Kathryn West has been a specialist teacher of Literacy and Numeracy for over 20 years and has overseen the Learning Support Department at Ffynone House School since 2001.  She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Educational Studies (Dyslexia) and trained at the Dyslexia Institute in Bath.

The provision of Specialist support at Ffynone operates within a flexible system based on both internal and external assessment. The level of intervention afforded is determined by the nature and degree of a pupil's individual needs. 

Ffynone aims to create in inclusive learning environment for all students with special educational needs.
