Enterprise

Pupils from Ffynone House School are regularly offered the opportunity to participate in business enterprise competitions such as Young Enterprise and Celtic Enterprise.

In 2009 – 10 a team of young entrepreneurs from Ffynone House School in Swansea won the Welsh Celtic Enterprise Competition. The team, ‘Jams With A Twist’ beat 21 other teams at the event in the National Botanic Gardens. As well as being crowned overall victors of the competition, the Ffynone House team were also awarded Best Business Plan and Best Business Report.

Ffynone House is an independent secondary school based in Uplands in Swansea. One of its principal aims is to ‘develop self confidence, self motivation, self discipline, courage and a willingness to accept challenge’ in its pupils and its focus on extra-curricular activities such as Celtic Enterprise is a demonstration of how those aims are applied in the school.
