Ffynone House School is a charitable trust, with Trustees and a Governing Council to support the School’s senior leadership team.
Governing Council members include staff and parent representatives, and experts from a range of backgrounds, including Education, Finance, Business, Law, Management, Technology and Public Relations.
The Council meets throughout the academic year to oversee the school’s strategic direction and plans, determine policy, monitor outcomes and performance, and to support continuous improvement.
Sub-Committees also meet regularly to manage operational areas in greater detail and report to the Governing Council.
Unlike privately owned independent schools, Ffynone House exists for the benefit of its pupils and staff, not shareholders. It is run with close cooperation between Governors, staff and parents, and there is a thriving Parents and Friends Association which organises many enjoyable social and fund-raising activities.
If you are interested in contributing to or learning more about the work of the Governing Council, its sub-committees or the Parents and Friends Association, please contact the school for more information.
